The Challenge
Transforming the historic original Alamo Drafthouse into an energetic home base for top-tier tech talent required navigating early coordination hurdles and significant structural demands.
The Solution
We were brought in to realign the project strategy, managing the complex adaptive reuse of this 6,800 SF brick-and-timber asset. We directed the team through heavy structural interventions—including cutting a new internal stairwell and retrofitting a new elevator shaft—to strip the building down to its bones and rebuild it as a modern hub.
The Result
A project rescued from disarray and delivered to acclaim, recognized by the Austin Business Journal as one of the "coolest offices in Austin".
