Why We Started Looking Glass
We started Looking Glass to focus on our clients and their projects above all else. We saw a distinct need for a different kind of owner's representative - one that possesses the elite technical capabilities of a national firm, but operates with the agility, transparency, and personal investment of an in-house partner. We built LGC to get back to what matters: the work. By bridging the gap between complex architectural hurdles and strict financial goals, we don't just manage projects - we steward investments.
Our Mission
Our mission is to function as a seamless, high-impact extension of your internal team. We decode technical challenges, protect your capital, and deliver best-in-class commercial real estate projects through rigorous execution and disciplined strategy. We leverage our size to move faster and execute with greater focus - ensuring that from initial site feasibility to the final punch list, your success remains our absolute priority.
Our Vision
Our vision is to fundamentally redefine the standard of partnership in commercial real estate design and construction. We aim to be the most trusted fiduciary advisor for investors, owners, and tenants in our market - proving that high-stakes execution is best delivered alongside high-touch, personalized care. We envision a landscape where every physical space we bring to life not only maximizes asset value, but stands as a testament to what happens when a team simply focuses on doing exceptional work.

Miles T Whitten
Founder & Managing Member
Miles founded Looking Glass Commercial on a fundamental belief: your success is his success. Having operated as a regulator, energy consultant, corporate occupier, and third-party advisor, he brings a diversity of perspectives that allow him to decode technical hurdles and ensure his client's goals remain the priority.
With a recent Austin track record exceeding $85 million in value and over 1.1 million square feet of construction, Miles combines high-touch service with high-stakes execution—acting as a fiduciary advisor from site feasibility to the final punch list.
A native son, Miles' commercial real estate journey began with designing alternative energy systems. Witnessing investors install solar arrays to compress cap rates and multiply exits was a firsthand lesson in value creation that sparked his obsession with real estate. He took that realization to Silicon Valley, managing a $35M headquarters build-out and multi-market expansion strategy, eventually bringing elite technical experience back home to Austin.
In an industry defined by volume and bureaucracy, Looking Glass offers partnership and personal stewardship large firms cannot match. We believe communication is paramount. We know problems are opportunities to dig deep, not annoyances to avoid. We leverage our agility to move faster and execute with greater focus, ensuring you never get lost in the shuffle and that your project and relationship receive the attention they deserve.Education & Community
